About Us

Sports Science meets Product Engineering

Alien Kinetics™ (Driblades™) is fueled by one core objective: an uncompromising commitment to make our athletes better. At Alien Kinetics™  we are part next generation sports science and part product engineering. The team is made up of a professional kineticist with almost 20 years experience training and developing world class athletes and a product engineering team with numerous patents and successful designs. Our goal is clear. Our focus is unwavering. Our commitment to helping hockey players achieve their greatest potential is our business.

Meet Our Team

  • Kelly Riou

    The Kinesiologist

    A world-renowned trainer who works with hockey players from amateur levels through to the NHL using DriBlades™ and his proprietary training programs and methodologies. The Stanley Cup has found its way into Kelly’s gym multiple times thanks to his athletes capturing hockey’s ultimate goal.

  • Jason Johnson

    Creative Director

    A former professional athlete and Emmy Award winning producer/cinematographer, Jason has directed dozens of television shows for networks in both the US and Canada, as well as commercial campaigns for some of the biggest names in sports. Jason was a record breaking quarterback at the University of Arizona before having a lengthy pro career, including a Grey Cup (CFL) championship with Edmonton. 

  • Zenon Dragan

    The Inventor

    Leads our technical innovations team. He is best known for being the founder and lead engineer at Draganfly, a publicly traded drone technology company. Zenon created the first commercial quad rotor drone, the first drone that saved a human life and even had one of his drones make it into the Smithsonian.

  • Marla Katz

    The Operator

    Leads our business operations. Marla’s sports marketing career includes roles with the Texas Rangers, Miami Motorsports, Blockbuster Park development group and the Florida Marlins. Marla also worked with the licensing & marketing groups for Guy Harvey, Inc and VF Corporation, which included working with all major sports leagues and coordinating special promotional programs and events.

  • Cory Furman

    The IP and Patent Lawyer

    Cory is a trademark agent before the Canadian IP Office.  In over 20 years of practice he has worked with clients from around the world in virtually every industry vertical, and has been honored to be listed in the peer-reviewed Best Lawyers in Canada (Trademarks) and the Who’s Who Legal in Canada – Trademarks Law directories for Canada for many years. Cory is also an enthusiastic hockey dad and aspiring BBQ champion.

  • Dale Wishewan

    Investor

    CEO & President of Booster Juice, Dale opened the first Booster Juice location in 1999 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and today there are over 400 locations. Through his life-long passion for sports, he has become Co-owner of the Vegas Golden Knights NHL team, minority owner of the American Hockey League’s Henderson Silver Knights and Co-owner of the Edmonton Riverhawks Baseball team.
